When most people think of access control, they picture corporate offices with badge scanners and security desks. But access control has evolved—and now it’s solving problems in places you might not expect.

At Ameritechs, we’ve seen a growing demand for smart, secure entry systems in mobile home parks, HOAs, apartment communities, and even small businesses. These systems offer convenience, accountability, and peace of mind for property owners and residents alike.

🔐 Ditch the Keys. Gain Control.

Old-school keys and gate remotes can easily be lost, copied, or passed around. That’s a security risk—and a headache to manage. Modern cloud-based access control systems, like the PDK systems we install, allow you to:

  • Add or revoke access instantly from your phone

  • Set specific access schedules for vendors, residents, and maintenance

  • Get real-time notifications of entry activity

  • Eliminate the need for physical keys and gate remotes

It’s faster, more secure, and way easier to manage.

🏡 Case Study: Greenbrier Mobile Estates

Greenbrier Mobile Estates in Santee is a great example of how access control is transforming communities.

After upgrading their surveillance system, the management team asked us to help secure their main gate. Their old system relied on outdated remotes with no tracking or control. We installed a cloud-managed PDK access control system that gave them complete visibility and remote management.

But we didn’t stop there.

Greenbrier also had a back gate nearly 1,000 feet away from the main clubhouse—without power or network access. To solve this, we installed a solar-powered access control system and used a wireless bridge to connect it to the network. Now, both gates are fully integrated into the same system and can be managed from anywhere.

For Greenbrier, it wasn’t just about security—it was about modernizing their infrastructure and making life easier for residents and management.

📱 Not Just for Big Buildings

Access control is more accessible than ever:

  • Scalable: Works for a single gate or multiple entry points

  • Affordable: No on-site servers or expensive infrastructure

  • Simple to use: Manage everything from a smartphone or browser

Whether you’re running a gated community, managing a storage facility, or looking to secure your office or shop—access control can help.

We’re proud to bring modern security to San Diego communities like Greenbrier. If you’re considering an access control upgrade, we’d love to show you what’s possible.
