Turning Plans Into Reality
At Ameritechs, we specialize in helping homeowners bring their technology vision to life—even when challenges arise. Recently, we worked with a client building her dream home who ran into a roadblock: her original low-voltage contractor wasn’t able to continue service after the prewire was complete. That’s when she called our team.
She had sourced an impressive collection of equipment, including KEF Ci Q Series speakers, Sonos Amps, UniFi controllers and access points, Apple TVs, a Denon receiver, and multiple TVs—some on custom motorized lifts. Our role was to make sure everything worked together seamlessly.
Overcoming Prewire Challenges
As is common with new construction, not everything was wired perfectly. Some cables were

cut too short, others mislabeled, and the organization needed some work. Our technicians carefully corrected these issues, extended wiring where necessary, and re-labeled everything to set a strong foundation for the installation.
Audio That Disappears Into the Design

The client chose 12 KEF Ci Q Series Ci100.2QR in-ceiling speakers. These ultra-compact 5.5” speakers blend nearly invisibly with the recessed lighting while delivering exceptional sound quality. The result is a clean, minimalist look without compromising performance.
Precision TV Mounting and Rack Build
Mounting TVs with motorized lifts required precision—each had to fit perfectly into custom cabinetry cutouts. Our team ensured each lift was aligned and tested for smooth operation. We also built out the AV rack, carefully organizing all components for a professional, service-friendly finish.
Smart Home System Programming
Once the hardware was in place, we turned to programming:
UniFi for whole-home WiFi that’s both fast and reliable.
Sonos for easy-to-control multi-room audio.
Apple TV integration for entertainment in every room.
Denon AV Receiver setup for immersive surround sound.
Everything was tested, tuned, and simplified so the client can enjoy a powerful system that’s also effortless to use.
The Finished Result
The final system came together flawlessly. The WiFi is rock-solid, the audio is immersive yet
discreet, and the TVs and lifts operate seamlessly. Most importantly, the system is easy to use—something we always prioritize for our clients.
We’re proud to have been part of this project, stepping in when needed and helping transform a house under construction into a fully connected smart home.
